Fill the pump reservoir with power steering fluid.
With the engine speed below 1000 rpms, rotate the steering wheel from lock-to-lock
several times and keep it in full lock for 2–3 seconds. Then turn the
wheel to the reverse full lock and keep it in that position for 2–3
seconds.
Check that the fluid in the reservoir is not foamy or cloudy and does not
rise over maximum when the engine is stopped.
NOTE: Perform the bleeding procedure until all of the air
is bled from the system.
The fluid level should not have risen more than 0.20 inch (5mm); if it does,
check the pump.
